Help Preserve Marriage in Maine

Posted by Nate LaClaire on May 22, 2009.

From Bob Emrich of the Maine Marriage PAC:

The Secretary of State has approved the following question to appear on a Statewide ballot IF enough signatures are submitted from registered Maine voters.

“Do you want to reject the new law that lets same-sex couples marry and allows individuals and religious groups to refuse to perform these marriages?”

This requires a minimum of 55,087 valid signatures to be submitted to the Secretary of State. The petition drive for this is underway. You can help this effort by attending one of the following training sessions for petition circulators. If you need more information, or if you are unable to attend any of these, please contact us at veto1020 [at] gmail.com to find out how to get a petition.
