Likely all of the adults in Maine also need to repent of our sins such as voting for the wrong people for the wrong reasons, or neglecting to support good candidates or neglecting to vote at all, or sinning by not praying for leaders and for Maine. Father, I confess the sins that we Mainers, including myself, have committed against You. We have looked to the government to be our Provider and turned from Your presence. We have disobeyed many of Your commands, decrees and laws. We have neglected our duty to promote justice in society and government. Remember Your mercy, turn us away from idols to worship the True and Living Messiah, Jesus Christ. Amen.

This is government corruption and incompetence of the highest order, and we should be ashamed of ourselves for letting it happen.
