Matthew Gagnon of Pine Tree Politics does a good job of analyzing the exorbitant costs and poor returns in Maine from the Federal “Stimulus”. The O-ppressor President and his supporters and enablers in the Maine Congressional delegation owe us all their apologies and their own resignations. Fat chance of that!

Likely all of the adults in Maine also need to repent of our sins such as voting for the wrong people for the wrong reasons, or neglecting to support good candidates or neglecting to vote at all, or sinning by not praying for leaders and for Maine. Father, I confess the sins that we Mainers, including myself, have committed against You. We have looked to the government to be our Provider and turned from Your presence. We have disobeyed many of Your commands, decrees and laws. We have neglected our duty to promote justice in society and government. Remember Your mercy, turn us away from idols to worship the True and Living Messiah, Jesus Christ. Amen.

A few choice quotes:

I was loudly opposed to the stimulus plan before it was ever considered – and yes friends, I was also opposed to George W. Bush’s “stimulus” as well, for this very reason. This is government corruption and incompetence of the highest order, and we should be ashamed of ourselves for letting it happen.

But, more than that – Congress is so out of touch with reality that they are thinking of attempting this madness for a second time. Do not let them – call the people who represent you in Washington, and tell them the first stimulus was an outrage, but that the idea of a second is insanity.
